The area

Recovering in Zona Rosa

Zona Rosa, and the Zona T beside it, is where a large share of international patients end up staying. It is dense with hotels and short-term rentals, walkable, and close to several of the private clinics international patients are treated at – which is exactly why surgeons so often suggest it to patients flying in.

It is also loud. The same restaurants and nightlife that make the area convenient before surgery make it a harder place to sleep after one. If you are booking accommodation here for a recovery rather than a holiday, ask for a room away from the street side, and expect to spend far more time in it than you think you will.

Whether you are in a hotel room, a serviced apartment or a dedicated recovery house, the care is the same. Your nurse brings what she needs, works around the room you have, and coordinates with reception or building security so there is no friction about a nurse arriving late at night or staying over.

How we schedule around you

Tell us the address when you book and we build the schedule around your discharge time, not ours. For overnight and live-in care the nurse arrives before you are discharged where possible, so there is no gap between leaving the clinic and having someone with you. If your plans change mid-recovery – you move accommodation, your surgeon changes your follow-up – we adjust rather than re-quote.

Day visits are $60, an overnight registered nurse is $120 a night, and 24/7 live-in care is $180 a day, all quoted in US dollars before you fly. There is no minimum for day visits or overnight care; live-in care is usually booked in blocks of three to seven days. Is Zona Rosa a good place to recover?

It is convenient and well connected, which counts for a lot. The trade-off is noise – ask for a quiet room away from the street when you book.

Can a nurse stay overnight in my hotel room?

Yes. We coordinate with reception in Spanish so there is no confusion at check-in about a nurse being present overnight.
