Recovering in Usaquen and Cedritos
Usaquen and Cedritos, in the north of the city, are where patients tend to stay when they want somewhere quieter than the central districts. Usaquen has the colonial old centre and a calmer, more residential feel; Cedritos is largely apartment blocks, which means a lot of short-term rental supply with kitchens – genuinely useful if you are on a staged post-operative diet.
The north is also where several of the hospitals treating international cardiac and complex surgical cases are located, so for those patients staying up here can cut a long cross-city drive out of every follow-up appointment.

Tell us the address when you book and we build the schedule around your discharge time, not ours. For overnight and live-in care the nurse arrives before you are discharged where possible, so there is no gap between leaving the clinic and having someone with you. If your plans change mid-recovery – you move accommodation, your surgeon changes your follow-up – we adjust rather than re-quote.

Day visits are $60, an overnight registered nurse is $120 a night, and 24/7 live-in care is $180 a day, all quoted in US dollars before you fly. There is no minimum for day visits or overnight care; live-in care is usually booked in blocks of three to seven days. Is the north better for recovery than Zona Rosa?
It is usually quieter, and closer if your surgeon is in the north. Zona Rosa is more walkable and has more hotels. Both work – it mostly depends where your clinic is.
Can a nurse cook for me in an apartment?
With live-in care, yes – meals and hydration on schedule, prepared to whatever diet stage your surgeon has you on.
